Areas of Operation

Maverick Energy is actively engaged in prospecting and operating properties in the Illinois Basin. The company was founded to explore for oil and gas properties and act as operator of the properties. We pride ourselves on the fact that our overhead rates have remained below the average for the area of operation. Maverick has expanded its initial operations from a few counties in Illinois to now becoming a major player in Sullivan County, Indiana, which is the hottest area for coal bed methane production in the Illinois Basin. We currently operate over 200 wells and are bonded to operate in Illinois and Indiana.
