PetroX EMUL
Breaks up iron-associated emulsions
PetroX EMUL is a specialized emulsion breaker engineered for oilfield systems burdened by iron-stabilized emulsions. It disrupts metal-bound interfacial films, releasing trapped water and promoting rapid oil-water separation. The chemical binds metals and destabilizes complex emulsions, enabling cleaner crude and faster processing.
Applications include gun barrel separators, dehydrators, refining systems, and produced water facilities. It is especially effective where iron and sulfur contribute to emulsion persistence.
Field trials show PetroX EMUL works faster and more effectively than conventional demulsifiers, even those enhanced with acids or solvents. It not only reduces BS&W and improves oil quality but also cuts down on demulsifier overuse and slop oil reprocessing. As a result, operators see reduced chemical OPEX, increased recovery, and extended equipment lifespan—all without the need for high heat or agitation.
